Sensei Cheri Vincent

Sensei: Cheri Vincent, 3rd Dan

Sensei Vincent is the head instructor of the Shotokan Karate Club of Red Deer. Sensei Vincent has been teaching Shotokan Karate at the Red Deer club since 1994. She was Western Canadian Kumite Champion in 2000.


Sempai Pat McGrath

Sempai: Pat McGrath, 3rd Dan

Sempai Pat is one of our key instructors at the Shotokan Karate Club of Red Deer. He started his training in Shotokan Karate in 1998 and teaching since 2001.


Yutaka Yaguchi

Master: Yutaka Yaguchi, 9th Dan

Master Yaguchi is Vice Chairman and Vice Chief instructor of the International Shotokan Karate Federation. Master Yaguchi has trained since 1950 in Karate and has produced many famous karate-ka's. Master Yaguchi is based in Denver, Colorado USA and frequently visits Alberta giving technical directions and organizational support.


Sensei David Jones

Sensei: David Jones, 7th Dan

Sensei Jones began his karate training in England in 1973, and by 1978 opened his own dojo. He trained under such Masters as Enoeda and Kanazawa before emigrating to Calgary in 1981. Sensei Jones has participated in many National and International Championships. Sensei Jones is Chief instructor for ISKF Alberta. In addition he has graduated through the JKA instructor program. Sensei Jones travels regularly to Red Deer area to offer technical instruction and Dojo support.
